Behind the Lens

Hi, I’m Keith Goosen — the creator of Tiny Focus Visuals.
After decades of service dedicated to Canada, I’m intentionally welcoming a different way of living and seeing. One that slows things down, shifts perspective, and supports healing the nervous systems after years shaped by hypervigilance, volatility, and constant demand.
Photography, video, and natural sound have become my way of rebalancing — a creative practice that helps regulate, ground, and process the invisible weight that often comes with long-term service.
Through Tiny Focus Visuals, I share quiet visual stories and behind-the-scenes moments from Vancouver Island, British Columbia, and the west coast of Canada. These are the journeys behind my images — the stillness between moments, and the details that are often overlooked. From intimate macro worlds and fungi, to sweeping landscapes, aerial perspectives, and fleeting glimpses of wildlife.
Sometimes, I simply let nature speak.
If you’re drawn to glimmering moments of peace, to noticing something your eyes may have passed by before, or to a slower, more intentional way of seeing the natural world — you’re welcome here.
